edgelab is a 12,000 square-foot applied research facility that challenges traditional approaches to solving complex business problems.  We are a GE applied research facility concentrating on high-profile business initiatives and emerging technologies. Of particular interest:

• Our sponsorship is through the state of Connecticut (DHE), the GE Corporate executive team, and the UConn School of Business Administration (SBA).
• The edgelab team is comprised of dedicated senior GE managers, UConn faculty from Finance, Operations and Information Management, Marketing, and IT.
• We have worked on applied studies on technology, econometrics, new product introductions, and statistical modeling.
• We are challenged to define the next generation of strategic solutions and to build and implement prototypes for the GE businesses.
• We have completed over 100 applied projects for more than 30 GE businesses.
• We actively demonstrate technologies at technology conferences, public showcases, and legislative sessions.

We have forged more than 50 strategic partnerships with technology vendors. A partnership is formed through donation of solicited equipment and/or services.
