edgelab
is a strategic alliance between GE
and the University of Connecticut.
edgelab provides a unique laboratory
that gives students the opportunity to integrate and build
on their academic knowledge and develop innovative solutions.
The experience provides students with real-world learning
and career development opportunities to meet today's business
and information technology demands. In the end, the team-based
solutions solve mission-critical business problems that provide
educational value to students and business value to GE.

Profiles
edgelab is a collaborative environment that
promotes teamwork that emulates a real-world business setting.
Teams are typically comprised of four to five students, two
cross-disciplinary faculty members, a GE project manager,
and GE subject-matter experts.
Project
Areas
We offer exciting projects and classes that vary
from semester to semester and depend upon the real-time needs
of GE businesses. Past solutions and classes have included
digital signatures, web customer behavior, portfolio management,
credit card fraud prevention, biometrics, and new product
introductions.
